If you’ve been waiting to see Perez Hilton fall, fail, and go away you might have reason to celebrate! The California-based, Miami-born, Cuban-American gossip queen did something—not only in bad taste, that’s a norm for him—but perhaps illegal.
Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavanderia, posted an uncensored photo of Miley Cyrus’ private parts on his Twitter account, in the early morning hours of Monday, June 14.The picture shows Miley wearing a short white dress and no underwear. in the photo she’s climbing into an open convertible, the action of which caused what Larry king’s blog described as “her lady parts” to become exposed.
More than two million of Perez’s “fans” saw the picture, with the following introduction, “If you are easily offended, do NOT click here. oh, Miley! Warning: truly not for the easily offended!”
If you are familiar with his site he typically shows a censored version of an image, then links you to the original.
Yet the celebrity blogger should have heeded his own warning. Cyrus, despite dressing like an adult and drawing criticism for her suggestive new album, Can’t Be Tamed, is 17. Therefore, police might consider the image child pornography. according to u.S. law, child pornography involves not only images of adults having sex with underage minors but depictions of a minor’s genitalia.
However, according to Steve Cron, the Santa Monica criminal defense attorney, it is unlikely that Hilton will face legal trouble. Cyrus has not yet filed a complaint against him.
She has, however, spoken out against Perez and his actions.
“That’s some idiot being an idiot,” she told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. “Isn’t it funny that things like that, that are so negative, have come out right before my record?”
Can’t be Tamed, her third album, was released on June 18, not a week after Hilton’s Twitter incident.
Hilton has also released a statement and a video in which he defends himself. He is wearing a fake fur, which he claims represents the “fake controversy” of the Cyrus incident.
He looks scared despite his cavalier message.
“Sure, I like to be controversial,” he said. “But I don’t want to go to jail.”
However, if the picture was kosher, why did he remove it? why did he place a link to other photos from the same day of the 17-year-old Cyrus with drawings supposedly pointing to and supposedly authenticating that she was indeed wearing panties?
Regardless of whether or not he will be tried, this is just another incident in a career made from being an old-fashioned muckraker. The so-called neo-journalist has rubbed a lot of the Hollywood elite the wrong way. The current outrage comes from drawing offensive images, and writing “STFU,” short for “Shut the F*ck up,” over celebrity photos, making fun of celebrities’ weight—even when he was still himself a large man—and even going so far as to call Rumer Willis, the daughter of Demi Moore and first husband Bruce Willis, ugly.
That he called Will.I.am of The Black Eyed Peas a “faggot” in early 2009 after the performer did not want his band to be mentioned on Hilton’s website reveals just how vicious of a queen he can be. The insult resulted in a black eye at the hands of the group’s tour manager and shows that if his star power is not waning, at least people have had enough of him. his clothing line, according to several websites, has not been well received.with “Gossip Gangster” em- blazoned on some pieces, the line’s appearance has been described as “inevitable.”
The latest Cyrus infraction was a hot topic the morning after the Twitter post. it was so hot, in fact, that the ladies on The View discussed it.then subsequently removed advertising from his site.
What is most annoying about Perez Hilton, described as “Hollywood Queen parasite shit stain” at Craveonline.com, is that he is one of the most recognizable gay celebrities to be embraced by mainstream America. Therefore, his followers in suburban or rural America, who sign on to quench their thirst for gossip, glamour, and… gaiety potentially see him as an archetypal gay and role model.
Granted, in almost all groups of friends there is a gossip, whether you are straight, gay, or even a gorilla with rudimentary social skills.yet the fact that Perez might be considered representative of our community is unsettling to many people.
Oscar Aydin Apaydinli, a new york-based stand-up comedian and an office manager for a television network really, really doesn’t like Perez Hilton. his “1,000,000 AGAINST Perez Hilton being the GLBTQ SPOKES-PERSON!” group on Facebook might only have about 4,100 members, but that number is still impressive. it indicates an undercurrent of openly LGBT people who are—clearly—ashamed of him.
Apaydinli does not hate Perez, it should be noted.
“I don’t think it’s so much hatred with Perez as much as disgust. He does his blog, and he’s very good at it and people love reading it. He has a lot of followers, and the problem with that is he uses it to make a name for himself with bad publicity,” Apaydinli told SFGN.“I feel like he uses this publicity, but he doesn’t do anything good for the community to balance himself.and this represents us in a bad way.”
As a standup comedian, Apaydinli admit- ted that some of his material is politically incorrect and that it’s not always viewed as socially acceptable.
“However, what I believe is comedy and music brings people together, across social lines. People always love to laugh and listen to music. I feel like Perez—if he is going to be such a high-profile gay—he should do some good for the gay community. He should be a role model, and as it is now, he shouldn’t be one because he doesn’t do anything good for the gay community.”
Hilton’s website, strangely, seems to lack anything for the common good. There are no links to charities supporting the community—although it is filled with advertisements of a commercial nature that surely benefit his addiction to all things pink and glittery.
“What’s a shame is that we don’t have a gay spokesperson, but a lot of them don’t want to sacrifice their celebrity to become the forefront spokesperson,” Apaydinli said. “The younger generation needs one, and it should not be Perez Hilton.”
If you are not a member of the anti-Perez site on Facebook, please join. Let’s finally put an end to this muckraking liar and attention-whore.
It is apropos to finally air Hilton’s dirty linens. After all, his legal last name—Lavanderia—when translated into English means “laundry.”

Let’s get the sad stuff out of the way and barrel through the break-ups. Larry King’s eighth divorce from his seventh wife (he married the same lucky gal twice) came out of nowhere, and once it broke, wild stories of infidelity became attached to the suspender-happy CNN host. Was he cheating with his wife’s sister? Was she involved with their son’s baseball coach? Time shall tell, but either way, with word that Larry and Shawn had no pre-nup, we doubt this one is going to get any more civil.
Next up on the celebrity couple chopping block was Mel Gibson and his girlfriend, Russian songstress Oksana Grigorieva. G&G caused a whirlwind when they announced their coupledom just a month after Gibson split from his wife of more than 30 years in April of 2009. Shortly after, the happy new couple announced they’d be having a baby — Gibson’s eighth. Sadly, their run as a couple came to an end this week.
Then, Melissa Etheridge and her wife Tammy split after nine years together. while certainly not the most high-profile, the Etheridge split was certainly the most shocking in the “didn’t see that one coming” sense.
Conversely, rumor has it that Paris Hilton and on-again, off-again boyfriend Doug Reinhardt are kaput. That is all we need on that one.
Now, it’s time to discuss the week in nudity.
Just in the nick of time on Friday, a nude photo of Kim Kardashian from Harper’s Bazaar magazine found its way online. the picture shows an unclothed Kardashian laying across a grey photo set (small photo on the right… click to see a larger pic). It’s not the first time miss Kardashian has gone au naturale for a photo shoot. she posed for Playboy in 2007.
The bulk of body-baring came courtesy of Allure magazine, who published their annual “nude issue.” the basic premise of said “nude issue”? Yep, you guessed it: Naked celebrities. in the past, stars like Padma Lakshmi and Eliza Dushku took it all off for the magazine, but this year, stars you wouldn’t expect showed their birthday suits for the spread. ‘American Idol’ judge Kara DioGuardi showed she still has her Bikini Girl-beating body by laying down nude and discreetly covering all R-rated parts with proper positioning of legs and arms.
Other starlets who went nude include actress Emanuelle Chriqui, songstress Colbie Caillat and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Jessica Capshaw. but perhaps the biggest stunner in Allure’s nude issue was that of 40-year-old Catherine Zeta-Jones, who in one photo is seen sprawled across a bed in the buff.
In other naked news, Ashley Dupre’s Playboy spread put the woman behind Elliot Spitzer’s downfall back into the news cycle. With a very naked, very publicized Playboy pictorial, Dupre left nothing to the imagination, posing in various styles of undress.
All in a week’s work in the celebrity news business …

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. —
Larry King and Shawn Southwick played nice while their son played ball.
Just days after Larry and Shawn announced their plans to divorce, they reunited to watch their son, Chance, play baseball in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Thursday night.
Amid the relentless snapping of photos by the paparazzi, they greeted each other with a hug and smile.
Following the game, the couple exchanged, what appeared to be a few pleasant words, before being escorted by police to their cars.
Earlier in the day, the talk show host was hounded by paparazzi at a Beverly Hills pizzeria owned by actress Cathy Moriarty.
“Did you cheat on you wife Larry?” a paparazzo asked Larry, who only smiled back. “Is it true? Is it true? Did you cheat on your wife?”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on Thursday Larry’s attorney confirmed to Access that the couple did not have a prenup, but noted there was another agreement in place that would be brought up during their divorce proceedings.
The lawyer also told Access, “He wants this to be an amicable divorce.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Larry King was spotted driving around in the Cadillac Snoop Deville with rapper Snoop Dogg in the passenger’s seat. who knows what those two have cooking, but we do know Snoop Dogg will appear on ‘Larry King Live’ Friday night. According to his Web site, there’s set to be “more malice” from the rapper — plus a look at how that duet with Susan Boyle is coming along.

The rapper last met with King back in 2008 to talk about politics and came out as one of the first high-profile celebrities, particularly in the African American community, to voice concerns over President Barack Obama.
During the election, Snoop distanced himself from both Democratic and Republican parties in favor of the independent neutrality of “the Gangsta Party.”
However, Snoop did admit he felt a tie to Obama. “I am a black man, and I know that he relates to everything that I am going through… I just want to see somebody win that is in the best interest of America… Obama has got the right conversation going. He is in line with the right scenario too.”

Evan Lysacek is in demand.
Since the figure skater won the gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics, he’s done the talk-show circuit, photo shoots and won a spot on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Lysacek has received offers to cut in line at coffee shops. His frequent breakfast hangout, Joan’s on Third, offered him a regular table.
He has declined such offers.
He’s so trendy that he made it on the cover of the celebrity gossip magazine Life & Style. the others that shared space in this week’s issue? Regulars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Richie and Lady Gaga.
Lysacek even had his first paparazzi experience as a photographer followed him in his car after an appearance on CNN’s “Larry King show.”
“At first, I thought, `what could they possibly want to see me doing?”‘ Lysacek wondered. “I was on my way to dinner with friends and when we came out they were gone.”
The congratulations, goodwill, messages and opportunities are not gone. They’re just filtering in for Lysacek.
Lysacek, the 24-year-old who trains in Los Angeles, will be the star today at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, where he has worked with coach Frank Carroll. Lysacek and Olympian Mirai Nagasu, who’s from Arcadia, will be the guests of honor in a reception with city officials, fans and skaters. the event is open to the public and starts at 6 p.m.
“The people at the rink have been so supportive of me, everybody
from the Kings and Lakers,” Lysacek said. “It’s not just figure-skating people. It’s a cool opportunity for me to go back and say thank you, more than anything. I couldn’t be where I am without the help and support of so many people. probably the most special part is that I get to say thank you to so many people.”
Lysacek can’t believe his good fortune. He’s finally realized his dream and success has created other opportunities. He’s often stopped to pose for pictures and if his medal isn’t visible, people want to know where it’s located. Lysacek has all of his medals stored in a box in a cabinet, but the gold medal will soon be on display in his house.
He’s received so many calls, with one of his favorites coming from fashion designer Ralph Lauren. Lysacek represents the company and Lauren called to offer congratulations and lunch in New York next time Lysacek is in town. Lysacek has never met Lauren.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer sent him a Blu-Ray of the movie “Top Gun.” That was a treat for Lysacek, who skated his very first program to music from the movie.
And then there’s “Dancing with the Stars,” the show that has done wonders for the careers of athletes and singers and movie stars.
Lysacek is considered one of the favorites.
“It’s definitely harder than I thought it would be,” Lysacek said. “I know what incredible athletes dancers are. I thought I would bring a little of my skating to the table and it would help me but it’s almost made it worse. I’m used to rotating in one direction and stepping with one foot first. all of that is completely opposite. I thought, `I’m doing it for fun,’ but the second I started, I got competitive again and I want to win.”
Lysacek’s pro partner is Anna Trebunskaya, and Lysacek told her that while training he likes to be pushed. Trebunskaya is known for demanding the most out of partners.
Transitioning from training at the rink to the dance studio was an easy one for Lysacek.
“I’ve been preparing for the Olympics the last four years and that’s been my sole focus,” Lysacek said. “I still have to pinch myself. A lot of athletes go through this considerable letdown and huge void in their life when the competition is over.
“This is a great way for me to move toward another goal and to keep the daily structure in my life. It’s about the next challenge and really having a good time.”
Lysacek was having a good time with gal pal and Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin, whom he calls a friend. But following his gold medal, People magazine reported he and Liukin were an item, and that’s why he’s on the cover of a gossip magazine. Lysacek’s publicist said he is single. He began to operate in a different world once that gold medal was hung around his neck.
“I’ve just never had to be careful before about things I might say,” Lysacek said. “Pretty much everything I’ve ever said to what kind of car I wanted to buy to who I was dating can end up front page news. I have to be more careful.
“I want to be a good example. I feel there’s so many positive role models from athletes to actors. I want to be a positive role model. I know how important that is. I’m not going to go away and hide my entire life. the right approach is to lead by example.”
And that will start with Lysacek giving thanks today.

Jenny’s revenge: ‘Spectacle’ revived
He had it coming.
But just as he brought an embarrassing scandal down on all South Carolinians last summer, his soon-to-be ex-wife’s return engagement in the victim spotlight has brought it back.
Oops. make that the strong-woman-who-refuses-to-be-a-victim spotlight.
Jenny Sanford’s been playing the latter role to the self-serving hilt while making the national TV rounds promoting her book “Staying True.”
She preposterously denies vengeful intent, insisting on CNN’s “Larry King Live” six nights ago that she is “not trying to get even” with her cheating husband. Given two possible writing motives by King, she responded: “Catharsis yes, retribution no.”
She added: “I’ve always considered myself very private, but I didn’t make this public. As a matter of fact, if you read the book you’ll see that I spent a good long time trying to keep it very private and keeping it from becoming the spectacle in fact that it became.”
Yet she’s extending “the spectacle” — and the tacky trend of seemingly logical people trading dignity for celebrity. why make that losing deal?
She told King: “Once it was public, I just figured, you know, there are so many women out there that have connected with me and said that they either admired or that I stood up, and stood up without losing a sense of who I was. I hope that if I can even help a couple of women out there it’ll be worthwhile.”
Sure. and this Valentine’s Day topic was chosen not to reel more readers into this column but to decry media exploitation of what enquiring minds want to know — including the inside scoop on our governor’s bizarre request for wifely permission to visit his paramour in Argentina.
Citing that revealing plea, King reasonably asked: “Did you accept the fact, hey, he’s in love with this woman?”
Jenny: “Well, what was funny is he didn’t just, I mean, I would have accepted it if that was what he said, ‘I’m in love with this woman and this is what it is.’ but he, it was like he didn’t know. He had to see her to find out.”
King: “But he wanted you to stay.”
Jenny: “But he wanted me to stay. He didn’t want to give up what he had, and that to me was painful.”
King: “And that’s called chutzpah.”
Larry: “Gall, right?”
Jenny: “Um-hum. but he said it in a way that was, was — he was almost oblivious to the pain that he was causing.”
On Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” she called mark “the cheapest man on earth.”
Whoa. That’s why so many of us voted for him so often.
She did defend him, sort of, when Stewart asked, “Are you surprised he’s still governor?”
Jenny: “He sinned against me and against our God, but I’m not sure that he sinned against the office that badly.”
“Sinned” sounded sanctimonious.
Then again, mark sounded divinely delusional last June when he likened his travails to those of King David. He also sounded creepily goofy when he compounded infidelity to his wife and irresponsibility to our state with other self-absorbed, self-destructive ramblings. Lasting lesson:
Telling not just anybody but everybody that your mistress is your “soulmate” undermines your shot at not just marriage reconciliation but divorce harmonization.
At least Mark’s eased up on his previously relentless apologizing.
And Jenny should give up on getting even. Nothing she writes or says can ever match the humiliation he dumped on her in a lovesick news conference that’s lately gotten plenty of replays thanks to her publicity blitz.
So mark mark down as the villain of this reprised tragi-farce — and as a fair target for his wronged wife’s persisting wrath.
But mark Jenny down for unfair play against another target. On ABC’s “The View,” she explained why her four sons can handle the book fallout: “If you’re raised where there’s a lot of stuff in the paper — stuff that’s true, stuff that’s not true — you learn to kind of tune it all out.”
She even said a teacher told her that one of the Sanford boys once responded this way when asked about a story regarding his dad: ” ‘Oh, he looked at me and said, “You don’t believe what you read in the darn papers, do you?”, and he walked away.’ “
Now that’s chutzpah.
