Wyclef Jean in Trouble with the IRS Again
Wyclef Jean (37) has taken money supposed to be used by his foundation for the people in Haiti once before to cover his expenses, and now he’s in trouble again with the IRS, and this isn’t the first time.
The IRS filed a $2.1 million tax lien on May 10, and Jean just announced his intention to run for President in Haiti, even though he has major financial issues, which leads to the logical conclusion that Wyclef wants to become President of Haiti to solve his financial issues. Haiti has been mired in corruption issues of its own forever, and having a President who sucks money out of the country to pay his own bills wouldn’t be much of a change for the country.
To address the report of the IRS tax lien Wyclef said:
“I have great lawyers, and I have great business people that work with me. There is no situation of Wyclef Jean that we will ignore. We respect the IRS very much. Any personal Wyclef matters are being handled as we speak. everything is paid up.”
Since Wyclef announced his intent to run for President of Haiti many people have spoken out against his candidacy, including Sean Penn who thinks Wyclef will get a lot of U.S. corporate supporters who want to take more than they give to Haiti.
Penn spends zero time helping people in the U.S., who really need help due to poverty that isn’t their faulty, but prefers to be the celebrity hero in very poor countries for the attention. Penn has been to Haiti a few times driving around in a red golf car with his name SEAN PENN written across it.
Penn appears to be more concerned that Wyclef will steal the spotlight than he is about donating some money to help a dying 24 year-old woman in Haiti.
Wyclef responded to Penn’s comments by saying:
“I just want Sean Penn to fully understand I am a Haitian, born in Haiti and I’ve been coming to my country ever since I was a child,” he said. “He might just want to pick up the phone and meet, so he fully understands the man.”
Sean Penn should run for Presiden of Haiti, because if he won then he’d HAVE to go there and STAY there.

When Madonna has an idea, it’s nothing but the biggest and the best for Madge!
The pop icon is currently following the footsteps of Bob Geldof by planning a Live Aid type charity concert to benefit Malawi, which will be shown on TV around the world.
She has already called several of her celeb friends, including Bono, to perform at the Walk out of Poverty concert in September.
A source at her Raising Malawi charity has confirmed that plans are well underway so that Madonna “make(s) this the biggest fund-raiser the world has ever seen. (She) is throwing everything into it. She knows the bigger the event the more money will be raised.”
We know that if Madonna is planning it, it will be amazing! We can’t wait to see who else she lines up for the concert!

It’s not that celebs are cheating more now, they are just getting caught. It’s Hollywood, everyone is fake anyway.
As much as I do love all the gossip, if you really think about it, it’s sad. this is these people’s lives. For me, it’s amusing. I’m glad I live in the real world where people have values, and the things that matter most are not money, fame, etc., but family and relationships with those close to me.
Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now. On to the next cheating scandal!

It’s that time of the year again, and a new season of Celebrity Rehab will be upon us soon! Seeing as there’s quite an abundance of celebrity fuck-ups as of late, the casting crew has attempted in vain to recruit ALL of them, including Lindsay Lohan, Heather Locklear, Brooke Mueller, and Jenna Jameson!
All four of them apparently told producers that they didn’t have a problem and turned down the show. Lindsanity, in particular, apparently wouldn’t even do it for $1 million paycheck!
Wow! You sure about that decision, bb? When was the last time you were offered THAT kind of money??
Producers are now attempting to court Charlie Sheen, but we’re sure he’s ‘fine,’ too!
LOLz! So ridiculous.

I am doing this for an assignment, and I was considering Nancy Goodman (who founded the Susan G. Komen Foundation… organization that raised the most money for breast cancer research/awareness, and pioneered race for the Cure) BUT she’s not a famous celebrity.
